Staff Trainings:A Key to a Successful Business

It comes as a surprise that adequate human resource and sufficient financial background couldn’t guarantee success to a business or an organization.
Studies show that the main reason to the success of any enterprise is management. When we talk about management, we primarily mean control. Control of things. Control of People. Control of Results. From among these , it’s staff management that is most crucial . Managers must know how to use their human resource to produce the maximum level of motivation and yield maximum level of productiveness.
Below are few suggestions you can offer your staff to improve their productivity :
- Find ways to enrich inter-relationships . Create synergies among colleagues to increase the productivity and efficiency of the company . An obvious constraining factor to this is defective people relations . Endeavor to build a company environment wherein the workers are unreluctant to express their views among the rank and file, and even with the bosses .
- Know job-related incompetences and get rid of them~ thrash them out} . For example , is your staff using more time than that which is necessary on e-mails or in returning phone calls? Are these interruptions often enough that they affect the employee’s outputs ? Look for ways to eliminate these idler activities
- Ask your staff to find three things that they can do to make themselves irreplaceable . In times of layoffs or terminations , ask your employees why should the company retain their services . They must be able to prove that they are good at what they do .
- Encourage your employees to enlist in a professional organization . Life and work are about enhancing one’s self . Encourage your employees to learn more about their craft while increasing the breadth and depth of their networking circle .
- Challenge your people to be creative . Stagnation means demise in today’s commercial economy . Ask them to rethink and improve a product, policy, or procedure .
- Give to your workers job-related self-improvement seminars that teach new techniques, tools and concepts crucial to their line of work . Stimulate their thinking to gain new perspectives on the job and future . A training session may very well be the stimulus to revitalize them and increase their job gratification.You will be surprised at how beneficial staff training could do .
- Ask your staff to determine their level of usefulness to the company . Have them look for ways that will maximize their strength and limit down, if not eliminate their work-related flaws .
- Motivate your staff toget to know more people . Motivate them to increase their working network. They should be people-persons who are willing to go beyond the usual “hello’s” . As they meet people , they should be asking themselves if their interactions with them will be beneficial particularly in their jobs . Can they include these friends in their circle of contacts to call on them for a favor, a contact, or a reference?
- If you are in a large company with several sections , encourage your people to join at least one company-wide task force or committee. By joining committees, they gain a broader view of the company’s goals and issues .
In summary : to be successful , you need to discover the way to produce an exact good result in your business and to steadily reproduce and improve that same result . Share this vision of success with your employess , and they will be your most important and most effective tool to achieving it.
